A double-depth plot is a single plot dug deep enough for two caskets, one above the other.
What to know
- It usually costs less than two plots side by side, and it uses less space.
- Some cemeteries require a specific vault for the first burial so the second can be placed above it.
- The second burial has its own opening and closing fee.
Question to ask
Ask the cemetery which vault it requires and whether the second opening fee can be prepaid.
