Funeral Luncheon
A funeral luncheon is a meal for the family, usually after the funeral or graveside service. It is often held at a church or, if the funeral home offers the space, at the funeral home.
In Utah
In Latter-day Saint congregations, for example, ward members, including the Relief Society, often prepare it, usually at the meetinghouse. Families of any faith may hold one at a home, a church, a funeral home that has space, or a restaurant.
What to plan
- A headcount, since it’s usually for family and close friends
- Who coordinates with the ward or caterer
