Refrigeration

Varies by providerUtah

Refrigeration means keeping the body cold to slow natural changes while the family arranges burial or cremation.

In Utah

Utah requires a body to be embalmed or refrigerated when burial or cremation won’t happen within 24 hours. Refrigeration meets the rule, so embalming isn’t the only option.
